i love film. i love people; i like watching them in their niche. i’m fascinated with the small insignificant truths, the detail in the moment is what moves me. i live for the sunlite in september, it’s the best kind. i love barbershops. they are full of stories about community and family. within those walls i became a photographer. i feel good when i’m holdng a heavy camera in my hands. the sound of the shutter releasing brings peace. i’m still learning; i’m open, i’m willing, i’m loving, i’m able, i’m changing, i’m yearning. shooting images of people i don’t know in places i’ve never been sends adrenaline through my body. it wakes me up to a feeling i haven’t been able to replicate in any other form. it’s at that moment that i realize why i am created. it’s at that moment that i am the most me.
